Project 52- Week 8

Hey Everyone!  Happy Friday!  And a Happy 94th Birthday to my Grandmother-in-law! <3

This week's theme for our Project 52 Blog Circle is TEXTURE!  Sometimes, textures are applied to an image in post-processing to give them a little extra flare, but texture does not have to be added to an image.  Just look around and you will see different textures everywhere!  When I first saw the theme, my mind immediately went to double exposure.  A double exposure is an image that is formed by superimposing two images.  This is a technique that I have wanted to try for some time and thought would be a cool way to utilize texture.

In the image below, I took a profile shot of Buster then a shot of a holly bush in our backyard.  My camera has a multiple exposure setting, so it combined them IN CAMERA!  NO PHOTOSHOP!!  I made some tweaks in Lightroom and that was it.

The holly leaves give this traditional image of Buster a surprising texture.  What I love about this image is that it really makes you stop and examine it for a while.  This may have been my first double exposure, but it will not be my last!

Next up, we have Linda of DogShotz Photography.  Head on over to see how she interpreted the theme, texture.
